Your specialized niche may be a small base. For example, not many people may be origami specialist, but the few out there would frequents your site time and again if you aim it towards them. You do not need a large client base to have a successful business, you just need interested customers. Concentrate on your niche, design your site and emails to accommodate them. If you focus on your niche you will find that those clients appreciate your efforts. So many businesses try to go general, and many people dislike that approach. No one wants to wade through hours of information just to find the small section they are interested in.

By finding your niche and aiming your advertisement, emails, and information towards them you will find that potential customers will be more likely to give your site a chance. By making information and product that your niche is interested in readily available will make them more likely to spend the money to buy it then. Anything that will save your clients time will be a huge convenience that is hard to find now a days.

So don't let a smaller niche base scare you into thinking you have a weak business foundation. Smaller does not always mean weaker. A smaller, loyal niche can provide you with a prosperous future of loyal customers.
